Are you looking for a place where you can relax, take pictures and even enjoy the wonders of the nature all at once? There is a place here at Rodriguez, Rizal called "Wawa Dam" which is approximately one and half hour drive from Metro Manila.
Wawa Dam was built in 1909 during the American colonial era to provide the water needs for Manila. It used to the only water source for Metro Manila until Angat Dam was built, it was abandoned since 1968. Until now there is a plan to reuse the dam, due to insufficient water supply in Metro Manila.

Sitio Wawa is also known as the jump-off point when you trek to either Mt. Pamitinan or Mt. Binacayan. It is also near the starting point of many more mountains such as Mt. Balagbag, Mt. Hapunang Banoi and Mt. Parawagan. But, if you’re not a fan of mountain hiking – you can enjoy Wawa Dam’s picnic spots and scenery with your family and friends. The place is also perfect for photography, the beautiful landscape with the slightly arched dam is a great subject for photographers. You can also immerse with the people and document their lives through photographs. And if still you're not satisfied, Wawa dam has a different camping sites where you can set or rent your camping tent or rent a room for a day or overnight, you can also have a bonfire and coffee date with your friends and love ones there.
