Mt. Espadang Bato is one of the mountains that is featured as so called mascap trilogy. It can be found on Barangay Mascap, Rodriguez, Rizal. It is 455 masl and by climbing it, you will see the beauty of the Sierra Madre and its own neighboring mountains that includes Mt. Ayaas, Mt. Sipit-Ulang and the Wawa trilogy Mt. Hapunang Banoi, Mt. Binacayan and Mt. Pamitinan.

Climbing Espadong Bato rock formation is definitely an experience for those who are seeking for a day of adventure but afraid to go on a grueling hike. You can reach the summit in a short period of three hours including your rest if you feel tired and hungry or the time you want to take picture because there are so many picture perfect spot here.


Just like at the Mt. Parawagan it's start has a cement road where you can walk nicely yet slightly upward.



After that you will start encountering a muddy, grassy and a forest trek. After an hour of walk you will meet the bamboo and the banana forest area and as you passed it by. You will see the peek of the mountain or the rock formation area  where the espadang bato rock formation is waiting. The espadang bato has a iron ladder where you can climb and take picture at the top of it. Take note, there is not harness or safety gears offered when you climb it. You will just simply take the risk if you want a good picture and if you want to see the neighboring mountains.
